Meet the dentists caring for you
Dr. Mike Barno focuses on complex care, including dental implants, full-mouth reconstruction, oral surgery, and sedation. He is the only general dentist in the Midlands who routinely uses a dental operating microscope for added precision.
Before joining Brickyard Dental Group in 2013, he served five years as an Army dentist and earned the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Action Badge during Operation Enduring Freedom. Since 2020, he has also trained postdoctoral residents in implant surgery, IV sedation, bone grafting, and advanced treatment planning.

Outside the office, Dr. Barno is an accomplished sculptor and the founder of Star of the West Sculpture Studio. He lives in Blythewood with his wife, Michaela, and their two sons. His wife manages the Blythewood Farmers Market, and the family attends Blythewood Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Drew Edwards chose dentistry because it allows him to combine hands-on care with lasting patient relationships. He believes trust is the foundation of good dentistry and takes time to help patients feel heard, informed, and comfortable with their care.
He is proud to work in a practice that prioritizes each patient’s long-term health and enjoys helping families throughout Columbia maintain healthy smiles.
Dr. Edwards joined Brickyard Dental Group in 2019. His experience as an EMT helped shape his calm, attentive approach to patient care and strengthened his commitment to serving others.

Dr. Edwards is a musician who plays guitar and sings at restaurants and venues throughout Columbia. He also enjoys volunteering, exercising, and spending time with his dog, Penny.
Dr. Caroline Hartley enjoys helping patients feel healthier, more confident, and more comfortable with their smiles. Her hospital, private-practice, and advanced training experience allows her to care for patients with a wide range of restorative, surgical, and implant needs.
She has also provided dental examinations and treatment for military personnel, volunteered care for underserved communities, and completed extensive continuing education in restorative and implant dentistry.

Outside the office, Dr. Hartley enjoys traveling, knitting, and reading. She is married to Jimmy, an Episcopal priest, and they have three children: William, Robert, and Sinclair, and a dog named Patrick. She is also a member of the Henry Middleton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Dr. Hudson Gray believes patients should be treated like family. He works closely with each person to understand their goals and develop solutions that feel comfortable, practical, and personalized.
His advanced training is especially valuable for patients with dental anxiety, medical complexities, surgical needs, or concerns that require coordinated care. He enjoys helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles in a supportive environment.

A South Carolina native, Dr. Gray was born and raised in Rock Hill. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, cooking, and spending time with his family and two dogs.

Dr. Barno served five years as an Army dentist, including a combat deployment with the 25th Infantry Division that earned him the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Action Badge.
