A full arch is one option, and we’ll tell you if you need a smaller one
You may have heard that a denture is your only choice, or that a full arch is the only fix. We start by looking at your bone, your teeth, and your goals. Then your dentist recommends the smallest amount of treatment that gets you chewing and smiling comfortably.
Patients come to us from across the Midlands, including Blythewood, Elgin, Lugoff, and Forest Acres.

How Columbia full-arch dental implants work
A full-arch restoration is a bridge that attaches to four to six implants in your jaw. The implants act as tooth roots, so the teeth stay fixed while you eat and talk.
What happens at each visit
- First visit: Your dentist gives you a limited exam and a CBCT scan, a 3D picture of your bone, nerves, and sinuses.
- Your plan: You see whether you’re a candidate, whether you need grafting, and what the timeline looks like. You leave with a written treatment plan and cost estimate.
- Implant placement: Your dentist places the implants in your jaw. In selected cases where bone quality allows, we can place an implant in the same appointment as an extraction.
- Healing: The implants fuse to your bone before they carry your final teeth.
- Final teeth: We fit and attach your restoration in our office.
Fixed teeth or a removable denture
A fixed full arch stays in your mouth. An implant-retained denture is the removable option: it snaps onto implants instead of relying on suction. Your dentist walks you through both and shows you which one fits your mouth and your budget.
Who we see for a full arch
Full-arch treatment fits patients who’ve lost most of the teeth in one jaw, or who are about to. Your CBCT scan answers the question for your mouth.
If a single implant or a bridge fits better, we say so. You can see every option on our dental services page.

Cost and payment for full-arch implants
We give you a written treatment plan and cost estimate before care begins. Your total depends on how many implants you need, whether you need grafting, and the restoration you choose.
We’re out-of-network with dental insurance. We file the claim for you and give you an estimate of what your plan may cover. You can spread the cost with financing through CareCredit, Cherry, or iCredit Works.
Eligible veterans can use the VA Community Care Network.
What Brickyard patients say
Columbia full-arch dental implant questions
Columbia full-arch dental implants replace most or all of the teeth in one jaw with a fixed bridge that sits on four to six implants. Brickyard Dental Group plans, places, and restores full-arch cases, including All-on-4 style cases, in our Columbia office.
Your bone volume, gum health, and general health decide it. Your CBCT scan at the first visit shows your dentist where you stand, and grafting can rebuild bone when you’ve lost some. If a smaller treatment fits better, we’ll tell you.
We quote your cost in writing before care begins, because it depends on your implant count, any grafting, and your restoration. We file your insurance claim and estimate what your plan may cover. CareCredit, Cherry, and iCredit Works are available if you want monthly payments.
Treatment runs in stages: implant placement, healing while the implants fuse to your bone, then your final teeth. Grafting adds healing time. Your dentist reviews your expected timeline with you after your CBCT scan.
We place implants under local anesthetic. Dr. Barno and Dr. Gray also provide moderate IV sedation, and we offer nitrous oxide and oral sedation. Tell us at your first visit which option you want.
A traditional denture rests on your gums and can shift when you eat or talk. A full arch anchors to four to six implants in your jaw. If you prefer a removable option, an implant-retained denture snaps onto implants instead.
